Foreman Position Overview: Our client seeks an experienced and dedicated Foreman to oversee general maintenance projects. The Foreman will manage a team of unskilled helpers, meet project timelines, maintain quality standards, and foster a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of unskilled helpers on projects such as drywall repairs, painting, minor concrete repairs, and hanging things on walls, including TVs.
- Operate snow equipment plow trucks and possibly skid steers.
- Must be an excellent problem solver and have the ability to prioritize and reprioritize accordingly.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee daily work activities to ensure efficient resource use and timely project completion.
- Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements, provide updates, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Inspect work sites to ensure quality control and compliance with safety regulations.
- Operate and maintain maintenance equipment.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on best practices and techniques.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked.
- Ensure all work is completed following company standards and client specifications.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a foreman in general maintenance roles.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of basic maintenance tools and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical labor as required.
